How to trace keywords?
May 13, 2009 by: adminI should not write a new post to tell you the importance of keywords ? you know a lot about it already. And we have already written posts on keyword research at NBB. So, why am I writing this post on keywords again!
Ok, do you know in which area a forum tops a blog or a regular website?
People ask different types of questions in a forum. Other members start answering those questions. And in the process you not only get an updated board, you also get the latest keywords (often the long tail keywords that perhaps you have never dreamt about).
And that?s not all ? in the process your forum is actually moving with the needs and search trends. You ask any top boss or top marketing professionals and they will say that Picking up the right trend at the right time is the most critical part of any business management system. If you cannot pick up the trend, there are high chances that you will become irrelevant to the market very soon. You cannot ignore it and to add you cannot always trace a trend.
So, the forum owners must be having some relief here as they naturally capture the trend. What about the blogs? It is not always easy for an individual to trace a trend. What do you do! Becoming a regular member of a forum is not that much of a great idea. You cannot always trace a trend unless it has grown into a buzz. And once a trend becomes a buzz, the competition only gets higher.
So, what do you do?
I have 2 suggestions right now:
1. Use Google Insights for search: try it yourself
2. Search suggestion: When you enter a search term in Google or Yahoo search box, they offer you some suggestions. Keep an eye on them to get some good idea?
