Social Media and Search Compliment Each Other
May 22, 2009 by: adminWebProNews had a chat with Dana Todd of Newsforce, who talked about social media advertising and search. The two are impacting each other more than ever. What ways do you see social media and search impacting each other? Share your thoughts.
"In a very short period of time, we’ve seen now where the social media content is deeply influencing search results," notes Todd.
Social media (including Facebook, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, Blogs, etc.) often take up a good portion of first page search results. Marketers can’t ignore this. But as Todd explains in the clip above, you have to prioritize and figure out your goals.
She discusses researching the audience to find out what they think of your brand, and then using social media appropriately to respond to that.
