Ignoring Landing Pages – Are you suffering from a Low Conversion Rate?
Is your conversion rate very low? Whether you are not able to convert your traffic even after spending lot of money in PPC and writing great ad copies? Then you should start thinking about your Landing pages where you are directing all your Traffic. Landing Page is one of the most important and most neglected parts of online campaigns. It is the First Page which a visitor is going to see on your website and take a decision. Hence, the success of your online campaign depends on the success and Failure of your landing pages. Just answer the following Questions to know why your landing pages are not converting well.

Are They Relevant: – Whether your Landing Pages are Relevant to your ad copy and product you are promoting. If No, then make them Relevant. It should contain similar titles and keywords you are using in your ad copy. The traffic you get from PPC campaigns are highly targeted looking only for specific things. If they won’t find your page relevant to the ad they clicked they would just leave your page right away.
Clear Call to Action: – Whether your landing page has a Clear Call to Action Link at the top where it could be easily available, so that your visitors don’t need to search for it. This is the common mistake which most designers do while designing landing pages. Call-to –action link get buried at the bottom in tons of content and visitors can’t find it easily. Always put your call-to-action link above the fold so that it is visible even without scrolling screen.

Distracts User Mind: – Whether your landing pages focus on multiple offers or contains lot of links to other pages of website so that user could get confused easily and can’t reach any decision. A Landing page should completely focus on single offer. Always create custom Landing Pages for each offer. Remove Navigability links from your landing page to other parts of your website which can distract your users mind. In this way you can easily control the content you want your user to see and can create a appropriate environment where he can take decision

Are they Credible: – Whether your landing page can develop a feeling of credibility among your visitors? It is very important to develop a trust factor among your audience if you are going to sell anything to them. Add Testimonials from like-minded people about your product on your landing pages. Also you can add the awards information your product had won or logos from other reputed websites like BBC, CNN-IBN etc.

Complex Process: – Whether the process you want your user to complete is very complex or time consuming that visitors are leaving it in the middle or can’t complete it successfully? Such landing pages have a very low conversion rate, try to provide the simplest and shortest process possible to your users.

Taking More Time to load: – Whether you landing pages take lot of time to load on slow speed connections then you are losing lots of customers because most of the people are still using Dial-up connections or shared networks to connect to the internet. Avoid using of Flash, Popup, iframes etc to reduce loading time. Also compress the sizes of images to reduce the overall page size.

These are the most common problems which can affect conversion rates of any landing page negatively. If your landing page contains a similar problem then try to correct it as soon as possible.
