Giving back to the community: Thanksgiving meal giveaway

November 23, 2009 by: admin

Yesterday, my church passed out over 625 turkeys and Thanksgiving meals to the people of the church. In the past few weeks, everyone in the church could sign up to receive as many meals as they were able to give out (completely free). After receiving the meals, the people went out and gave them to family, friends, and neighbors in need. Overall, it was a really cool and very inspiring to see and I thought I would share some of the photos taken by a photographer in our church, Robert T. Wright:

I love this kind of stuff. :)

By giving away 625 Thanksgiving meals we expect to feed around 1500-2000 people on Thanksgiving. We didn’t require them to come to church or anything, just a simple act of kindness.
